How To Make Eye Catching Products

You are walking along a supermarket and looking at the array of products on the shelves, what do you see and what catches your eye? It could be a particular brand name, or familiar colour on the label, what is a reasonable assumption is that it will be an eye catching design, even if it is a brand that you are looking for, manufacturers do like to ring the changes, whilst at the same time keeping their image and familiar logo.

When you are considering a label for a new product, or redesigning a label for a product that has been produced by you for many years to be eye catching, great it is important to select colours and fonts that are easy to read and consistent with the message that you are trying to convey. Different colour combinations can produce a variety of different effects and you have to consider how the product will be displayed and the speed at which potential customers will be viewing your product.

The label should be kept simple and readable; too much information can have the opposite effect that you are trying to convey. Colour is important, marketing studies suggest that red letters on a yellow background is the most eye catching, due we are told that yellow is the first colour the brain distinguishes; suggesting that it is the most eye catching. However which colour you choose for your label will have to fit with your brand image.
